How to Create an iPhone Wi-Fi Hotspot

Update: Apple iOS 4.3 (and higher) enables Wi-Fi hotspot sharing directly from your iPhone 4 without the need to jailbreak or install additional apps or software. You can connect up to 5 devices via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth to share a single 3G connection.
If you have an older iPhone or cannot upgrade to iOS 4.3, use the method outlined below.
If you own an Apple iPhone 4 or iPad you can now create an iPhone Wi-Fi
hotspot on the cheap to enable multiple devices to wirelessly connect to the
internet via your iphone or ipad.This will also work on any iDevice running iOS 3.2.1 or later.
Please note that you require a jailbroken iPhone 4 or a jailbroken iPad. You can follow the instructions in the video below on how to jailbreak your iphone 4 or ipad.
How to Jailbreak Your iOS 4.2.1 Device
Once your iPhone or iPad is jailbroken you will see an app called Cydia on your device. Cydia is an app store and device manager for jailbroken iDevices.
Launch Cydia and search for an app called MyWi which is described as the easiest and best performing iphone tethering app. You get a 3-day free trial or you can purchase the app outright for $20, once off. You must authorize your account to make purchases via Cydia.Click the app to purchase and install, and Cydia will do the rest.
Once the app is installed, launch MyWi and tap or swipe the wi-fi hotspot toggle button on the top of the app. You can now connect other devices wirelessly.
As with any wireless router or hotspot you must enable WEP security to protect your data from being used up by unwanted leeches.
